Jody Luke, President of Love Does, will present the keynote address at the 2027 breakfast.

Jody is a Kansas Citian. She grew up here, her faith started here through Colonial and Young Life, and she graduated from the University of Kansas in 1996. Her parents and one of her brothers still live in the area. “So much of who I am and how I view the world was shaped there,” she says.

She joined Love Does in 2012 as CFO and has led the organization as Executive Director and now President for the past five years. Founded by author Bob Goff, Love Does cares for the vulnerable, fights for human rights and provides education in conflict zones. It works in 15 countries with more than 20 schools, safe houses and women’s resource centers, along with programs across the United States serving people who are incarcerated, refugees, single mothers and families facing food insecurity.

She points to education as the piece that makes the biggest difference. Love Does puts it this way: providing education is “integral to breaking the cycle of war and building a culture of peace.” The method is simple and hard: show up in tough places, and stay there.

She returns home in March with stories of faith put into action, from a prison classroom in California to a school in northern Uganda. “I hope we laugh, cry, and think about things of God a little bit more,” she says. “I hope that when we go home, people love their neighbors more.”
